Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, and I have 3 main interests I actively try to maintain and develop.
Classics, Ancient History
I studied Classics in college, focusing on the archaeology of Ancient Rome/Greece and the socioeconomic lived experiences of the working class. One of my favorite memories is traveling to Athens as a senior and getting exclusive access to observe restoration efforts of the Parthenon, led by local University of Athens faculty.
Music
I love playing music in an ensemble, playing in the Penn Symphony Orchestra for 4 years, and today continuing to support the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra (where I played harp for 5 years) as a librarian and volunteer. Occasionally, I'll gig as a substitute harpist for the SF Symphony - surreal playing alongside some of the most talented musicians in the world!
Sports
Huge basketball fan - thrilled to have a new team to cheer for in the Golden State Valkyries (WNBA)! Having grown up playing sports competitively (gymnastics, tennis, badminton) I really enjoy cheering on local teams and having an excuse to celebrate.
