• The Operations Rotational Development Program (ORDP) is a highly selective 2-year leadership program in Pharma-Technical (PT) Operations at Genentech/Roche, featuring four rotations across functional areas. Focused on developing cross-functional expertise to drive innovation, optimize manufacturing processes, and enhance operational performance.
Rotation 1: Project Manager and Program Lead – Global Manufacturing Network Operations (PT Mfg.)
• Project manager for the PT Manufacturing Academy (PTMA), an emerging operational harmonization initiative impacting 800+ technicians and QC associates across 9 global manufacturing sites.
• Drove development of a skills & competencies matrix to standardize technical training. Conducted data analytics to prioritize high-risk process areas and implement remedial training.
• Integrated real-world manufacturing data with virtual training environments, enhancing workforce upskilling efforts. Created data dashboards and advanced digital training tools to measure program performance.
Rotation 2: Compliance Lead – Business Enabling and Compliance (SSF Drug Product)
• Launched and piloted a proactive compliance initiative to keep SSF Drug Product Manufacturing organization current with industry standards. Process mapped manufacturing operations and conducted Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) gap analysis.
• Improved local compliance and risk management in alignment with global standards, directly contributing to the success of an FDA audit with no 483 observations.
• Ensured proactive regulatory alignment, reducing future audit risks and write-off costs ($10M+ per batch).
Rotation 3: Data Engineering & Analytics Lead – Global Engineering / Mfg. Science & Technology (PTT)
• Developed a data analytics product to assess risk across $500M+ in annual spend on direct materials, enhancing proactive supply chain risk management and ensuring reliable delivery to patients.
• Created longitudinal risk analyses that improved visibility for stakeholders across Pharma Technical Ops.
• Managed stakeholder feedback and project milestones, aligning with Roche's pharma strategy goal of supply chain resilience and operational efficiency.

• Support Global and Local Category Managers through data analytics, generate and analyze spend reports to manage a portfolio of $150M in direct pharma procurement spend (raw materials) and formulate cost savings solutions.
• Collected, quality assured, analyzed, and visualized data (stakeholder surveys, delivery metrics and KPIs) internally/externally to support global supplier relationship management.

• Designed and implemented an end-to-end strategy to document implicit knowledge of Clinical Operations research experts in Early Clinical Development. Consulted weekly with stakeholders to present findings and ensure usability of my work, assessed KPI metrics to evaluate functionality; voted winner of the Intern Project Showcase (out of a cohort of 400+ interns).

• Selected by managing professor to be head TA for Intro Python for Data Analytics; entails managing a staff of 10 co-TAs and 100 students in addition to regular TA responsibilities (see below)
• Teach weekly section to 25 students and host weekly office hours to reinforce concepts learned in class. Contribute to design and grading of homework and exams, assess quality and functionality of code.
• Mentor students on final projects using statistics to crunch real-world data using hypothesis tests, permutation tests, and stats model APIs.

• Research on human decision making in self driving automobiles using a driving simulator.
• Responsibilities include analyzing and visualization of data, producing stats models and predictive analytics.

• Facilitate research between CHOP scientists, develop outreach initiatives to introduce emerging technologies in AI/ML and their applications to the medical community.
• Produce communication deliverables, design and direct advertising campaigns for department events.

• Lead projects to provide underserved communities with critical public health information regarding the the coronavirus pandemic.
• Translate CDC communications to minority languages (Vietnamese esp.), simplifying scientific jargon to layman terms.
• Assist in designing and editing illustrations of COVID-19 communication deliverables.

• Computational imaging and 3D analysis of artifacts excavated from the 7th century Yassiada shipwreck.
